A guide for landlords and room seekers
1. Home Page Overview
When you visit Mazhet.com, you will see:
- A green button: PRESS HERE to post an AD (for landlords and room seekers)
- A dropdown menu: View Ads – Choose City (to browse available rooms by location)
- The top-right menu: Sign In / Profile / Log Out (depending on whether you are logged in)
From the home page you can either:
✅ Browse ads
✅ Post your own ad
✅ Log in and manage your profile
2. How to Browse Ads
- Click View Ads – Choose City
- Select a city (Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare, etc.)
- The page will automatically reload and show all ads in that city
Each ad shows:
- When it was posted (example: “41 minutes ago”)
- Price in US Dollars (if landlord)
- City and section
- Number of bedrooms (if landlord)
- “Deal Completed” label if the ad is no longer active
You do not need an account to browse ads.
3. How to Post an Ad
To create your own listing:
- Click the green PRESS HERE to post an AD button
- Fill in the required form fields
- Submit the ad — it goes live immediately
Who can post ads?
- Landlords (have a room/property available)
- Room Seekers (looking for a place to rent)
Required fields include:
- I am a: (Landlord or Room Seeker)
- Description of the room / what you need
- City and Section
- Contact details (WhatsApp recommended)
Photos
- Landlords: Uploading photos is recommended (gets more replies)
- Room seekers: Photos are optional
4. Managing Your Ads (Your Profile Page)
After logging in, click Profile in the top menu.
There you can:
- Edit an existing ad
- Delete an ad
- Mark an ad as “DEAL COMPLETED” when the room is taken
- View your Active Ads and Completed Ads
- Update your contact details
You must be logged in to manage ads.
5. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create an account?
- No to browse
- Yes to post or manage ads
Is Mazhet.com free?
- Yes — there are no fees for posting or viewing ads
Can I edit my ad later?
- Yes, from your Profile page
Can I remove my ad when the room is taken?
- Yes — click “Mark as Completed”
Why do some ads have no photos?
- Ads created by room seekers do not require photos
How long do ads stay online?
- Until the user marks them as completed or deletes them
6. Login Problems & Tips
If you cannot stay logged in:
- Clear browser cookies and refresh the page
- Use Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (recommended)
- Make sure “Remember Me” is checked when logging in
